Tebot Bach is soliciting applications for the 2022 Patricia Bibby Memorial Scholarship, with a deadline of April 30, 2022. The winner will be announced by May 30, 2022
Background
The Patricia Bibby Memorial Scholarship was created in 2006 in memory of Patricia Bibby, a new poet in Southern California who showed great promise; she died in 2004 before realizing her full potential.
2022 Scholarship Information
The 2022 recipient will receive a scholarship to attend the five-day poetry workshop at The Idyllwild Arts Writers Week, June 27 - July 1, 2022, led by Ed Skoog, with poets Ron Koertge and Willie Perdomo, and special guest poets. The scholarship covers the cost of the workshop, lodging, and a $250 travel stipend. Information regarding the workshop may be found at at https://idyllwildarts.org/writers-week-2022/
Application Information
The competition is open to all English-language poets residing in the United States who have not previously published a full-length book or chapbook. Financial need is not required, but will be a factor in the selection. Applicants must submit: (1) a brief biography (250 – 500 words); (2) a letter stating the applicant’s objective in attending the workshop and his or her financial need, if any; and (3) a sample of 10 poems.
Any submissions that are incomplete or otherwise do not comply with these requirements will not be considered.

Each application will be reviewed and judged, on a blind basis, by poet Gail Wronsky, Ph.D., professor of English at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Any current or former students of Ms. Wronsky, and any current or former board members or officers of Tebot Bach, are not eligible to apply. The winner of the scholarship will be notified by May 30, 2022.
