Tebot Bach Outreach Programs
Tebot Bach provides poetry reading and writing workshops for underserved populations, such as homeless shelters, battered women’s shelters, nursing homes, senior citizens’ daycare centers, hospitals, AIDS hospices, and correctional facilities. Participating poet/teachers have included John Balaban, M.L. Liebler, Patricia Smith, Dorianne Laux, Laurence Lieberman, Richard Jones, Arthur Sze, Carol Moldaw, Brendan Constantine, and Cecilia Woloch.
The Orange County Rescue Mission House of Hope is a homeless shelter that serves homeless men, women, and if a family, their children. Tebot Bach offers two writing workshops there: one teaches general writing for business including resumés, and the other workshop is for creative writing.
